New Zealand Inspired Tees

I'm off to New Zealand in a few days - I've had so many trips to NZ over the past year that I can't believe that I haven't posted any New Zealand t-shirts, it's such a great opportunity.    Check this one out -

If you don't know where New Zealand is you can see by the tee that it's 'down under' in fact Kiwi's often refer to Australia as the West Island because it's a little over 3 hour plane ride away - the top island on the tee is called the North Island and the lower one is called the South Island so Kiwi's really do need a West Island don't they?

Australians on the other hand feel that New Zealand should just admit it's merely another Australian state!

When I was told we were emigrating to New Zealand (I was a teen) the only thing I knew was that we got our lamb from New Zealand - there were lots of sheep there -

I guess there would be no problems sleeping if there was lots of sheep to count and then after visas had been approved and the move was definitely going ahead I heard of something else that New Zealand was famous for - Rugby.   I was at college with a Welsh girl who was so angry with her national rugby side because they had been annihilated by the All Blacks - that's when I learnt that the All Black logo was the silver fern -

I hope you've enjoyed my NZ inspired tees :D   As I said I am going to be travelling and at the same time I'm participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge on two of my other blogs - Unique and Funky Gifts and All Eighties, All The Time - so if I'm a little late with the next couple of posts please be gentle with me :D

  1. My friend used to study at Christchurch and she used to send pictures all the time. I do hope to visit New Zealand someday

  2. It is a beautiful place to visit although I think the North Island's the best (there's always been a friendly rivalry between the North and South Islands!)

Tees with Memories

I was very lucky a few weeks ago to find a Born in the USA t-shirt, it was totally unexpected as I was actually looking through some cheap, I mean economically sensible, shirts for hubby when I spotted it.   Apparently my eyes lit up so hubby had to say those words we all love to hear - "Buy it!" I used to love Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA album and would play it constantly as a teen.   I was very considerate towards my family by the way - I always made sure that the record player ( yes, the album was on vinyl) was turned up loud so that they could all enjoy the Boss belting out his songs! Buying the t-shirt brought back lots of memories and isn't it great that a simple piece of clothing could do that?   That is the beauty of t-shirts, you can wear them in comfort while reliving past memories.   March 21st is National Memory Day so why don't you celebrate the day by wearing a tee that brings back memories for you? My hubby was looking for Bluto t-s

T-Shirt Sale!

I purchase my t-shirts in lots of places both online and offline, but one of the companies that have some awesome t-shirts available to purchase online have just informed me of a sale which I thought I would share with you. Teeshirtsrock.com are the company in question, so if you're looking for a great tee at a cool price check them out today and use the coupon code REMEMBER11 for 35% off from now until Sunday and don't say I don't give you anything :) My hubby may finally get a Hangover 2 t-shirt as they have a couple on the site whereas I really can't decide what t-shirt I'm going to buy. I sell a lot of Katy Perry t-shirts through this site as they have a great selection at affordable prices.......and that's without the extra 35% off. My daughter's birthday is coming up so I may just buy her a Justin Bieber t-shirt, this site has loads of them available so it might even be a good idea for me to purchase a few for when it's her friend's birthda

Rainy Day T-Shirts

Well it has been a really wet start to the summer here in South East Queensland - although NSW aren't fairing much better if pictures on the news are anything to go on. This is the view of one of our local footy grounds yesterday afternoon. This morning the sun was shining and I thought woo hoo! Very happy as I had to go in to school and see dd's teacher instead of using the drop off zone - my umbrella's broken and I haven't replaced it so getting wet wasn't appealing to me. Just before lunch the clouds opened up again and I can see a little river running rapidly down the road along the gutters.....I hate to think what the footy field looks like right now. So this blog is about t-shirts, why am I writing about rain??? I thought I'd see what rain inspired tees I could find to feature on a rainy day blog! This one really tickled my fancy, although hubby didn't really get it when I showed him! Every Time it Rains, it Rains Rain by larryunderwo
