Alligator T-Shirts

Would you like an alligator t-shirt?   I think I should definitely buy one for my father as he tells a great alligator story.......actually it's more a 'your mother!' type story than an alligator story, but here it goes....

A few years ago my parents visited Florida (I've never been there myself so if facts are wrong in this story I apologize) now apparently as they were in some party of Florida they say signs that I imagine looked like the one on this Alligator tee -


Now my mom saw the sign and when my dad said - 'look' and decided to stop the car so that he could look at all of the (baby) alligators in the drains she told him not to get out..............of course dad being dad he got out!   Mom was not stepping foot outside of the car so that was fine, but when dad came back to the car he found he was locked out!

Mom had locked the doors to stop any alligators getting in!   I'm not quite sure when alligators learned to open cars with the door handles, but maybe mom knew something no one else did.   Anyways mom will definitely not be wanting this alligator t-shirt -

In fact it's lucky she didn't see this next alligator tee or she might not have let dad enter Florida fullstop.

If you're wondering why I'm writing about Alligator tees today it's because I've decided that every Tuesday will be about a different type of animal because animal tees can be fun.   Why alligators in particular?   They started with a and it seemed as good a place as any to start!

My next post will be about place tees - sound interesting?   Will it be a place like a beach or a city like LA or Paris or will it be something completely different?

Tees with Memories

I was very lucky a few weeks ago to find a Born in the USA t-shirt, it was totally unexpected as I was actually looking through some cheap, I mean economically sensible, shirts for hubby when I spotted it.   Apparently my eyes lit up so hubby had to say those words we all love to hear - "Buy it!" I used to love Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA album and would play it constantly as a teen.   I was very considerate towards my family by the way - I always made sure that the record player ( yes, the album was on vinyl) was turned up loud so that they could all enjoy the Boss belting out his songs! Rainy Day T-Shirts

Well it has been a really wet start to the summer here in South East Queensland - although NSW aren't fairing much better if pictures on the news are anything to go on. This is the view of one of our local footy grounds yesterday afternoon. This morning the sun was shining and I thought woo hoo! Very happy as I had to go in to school and see dd's teacher instead of using the drop off zone - my umbrella's broken and I haven't replaced it so getting wet wasn't appealing to me. Just before lunch the clouds opened up again and I can see a little river running rapidly down the road along the gutters.....I hate to think what the footy field looks like right now. Five Fun T-Shirts for Women
